ExxonMobil needed a website and they needed it fast – so they turned to Winning Strategies knowing we could move more quickly than their internal teams. The first step in building a liquefied natural gas terminal off the coast of New Jersey was regulatory approval. And once word got out, the company expected opposition from locals, environmentalists, and some politicians. We designed a site that emphasized the benefits of natural gas as well as the precautions that would be taken to protect the environment and area residents. We heavily optimized the site so it would appear first in search results – above any negative stories. The project faced little negative publicity but ExxonMobil ultimately opted not to pursue it.
